Production number!

The beyond awesome SARA HIRSCHI choreographed our production number to a Roar- by Katy Perry remix.  Super cool.  I am so excited!

The incredible interview workshop and mock interviews

My thoughts on the pageant process is for the girls to have the opportunity to learn as many "REAL WORLD" skills as possible.  The interview workshop did just that.  Angie Seegmiller, office manager for Dr. Howard, gave the girls intense info about what to do and what not to do in interviews.  I learned a ton!

Can you just say ADORABLE!!!

All these amazing women helped us set up 3 different interview rooms for the girls to practice their new interview skills.  The girls received "comment" cards back with things they did well and things they could work on.

Pageant Workshop with Miss Washington County- McCall Spears

Ashley, Jessica, Arianna, McCall, Madison, Mckinlye, Kaili

We were privileged to have McCall Spears, reigning Miss Washington County, come over and do a pageant workshop for us.  We learned a ton!  Good luck at Miss Utah McCall!!!

Pageant Week

I can't believe it has been more than a year already.  I feel like Jessica has had so many experiences.  I know we have grown closer and I am so grateful for the time that we have had doing Miss Toquerville stuff.  It truly has been a gift!
And the work is in full swing.  All the paperwork is due this week, extra practices, sewing like crazy, and the pageant is on Saturday.  It is bittersweet for me.  The pageant is so much work but I know this is a great program.  It teaches the girls so many useful skills that they can use throughout their life.  I even benefited from the extra interview training!  I have seen girls come out of their shell and really blossom in self confidence.  Overcoming your fear of being on stage really comes from being prepared and practiced.  These girls are nervous but really doing so well as they are practicing at home.  I know these next few days will be a whirlwind and I will miss it when it is over.  I love building relationships with the girls I have the opportunity to get to know.  I absolutely love each and every one.  Good luck Arianna, Kaili, Kennedy, McKinlye, Rebekah, and Ashley!  You are all AMAZING!!!!

To my beautiful daughter..... I am so grateful to be your mom and be able to join you on this incredible year as you have journeyed as Miss Toquerville!  You have represented our town with grace and elegance.

Hair/Makeup Workshop

These beautiful ladies were able to be taught about how to take care of your skin as well as undertones and colors.

Bethany Gubler was very informative and the girls learned a lot.

Jess got to be the model for both the makeup and the hair portions.

Debbie Grygla showed the girls how to position the height of hair depending on your neckline.  She also talked a little about how your inner beauty can be externalized by knowing yourself and how you feel comfortable.  She helped us know what accessories are best in the general scheme of outfits and colors that worked together according to undertones.

We learned tips on how to back-comb and making bobby pins stay.

I learned a ton from these ladies.  A great big THANK YOU to Bethany and Debbie for taking the time to share their talents with us!

Princess Tea

The official name for the first meeting of the pageant process is called a Princess Tea.  No one drinks tea at them so we called it the orientation meeting.  We had 5 girls and their moms join us.  We were able to explain the pageant process and answer any questions they might have.
