Peach Days 2013

Peach Days 2013.  The girls did not have any responsibilities for Peach Days.  They did get to be in the parade though.  They decided to wear their formal.  Jessica said that there were SOOOO many people watching the parade at Peach Days.  So many more than at the Fair parade.

After the parade the girls changed their clothes and visited with little girls giving out their crowns.  I think this little jester has been the most fun for the girls.  Jess said she wished we had a ton more!

Fair Responsibilities

First of all before I say anything about what we did at the fair, keep in mind this is one week before school starts.  With that said, here goes.......
Monday, August 5, 2013: Home Arts 8-2

Practice for entertainment on Saturday.

Tuesday, August 6th Fine Arts 4-8.
Mr. Jeffery did not have anything for us to do and he was going to send us home.  Thank goodness our city was putting together the seed display and we were able to lend a hand.

Tami Young and Annette Kleinman were in charge of putting the whole thing together.

Wednesday, August 7th Community Display 10-1
The girls took in entries for the fresh produce.  The fair board even had Durangos cater.  Soooo yummy!

Wednesday night 5:30 Washington County Fair Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Mayor LeFever introduced Jessica and then Jessica was able to introduce her royalty.

They said a cute little blub that Kim Pope came up with speedy quick.  It was super duper cute.

Haylee was able to help cut the ribbon to officially open the fair.  By this time we were all pretty much pooped.

Thursday, August 8th- Can you believe it?  FREE DAY
Friday, August 9th 8:30-12 Baby Contest

This was one of Eddie's twins, thing 1 and thing 2.  They were sooooo adorable.  Eddie was the Hurricane City police officer who helped us with the 1/2 marathon and brought the girls back doughnuts.

Saturday, August 10th- Washington County Fair Princess Showcase.
This was kindof crazy because they had on the list that we were very last so I had everyone scheduled to show up at 3:30.  When we got there they had decided to go by the order the fair book had the cities.  Cory, Michael, and Christian were bringing the electric piano that Jessica Beatty let Jessica borrow so we had to call them frantically to get a move on.  Then our family was coming to watch later so they had to speed up also.  All in all, everyone made it there in time.  The girls had chosen "Teardrops on my guitar" to sing together while Jess played the guitar.

You could barely hear them but they looked super cute.
Jessica played "La Folia".

McKinlye sang "Happily Every After" and she was incredible!

Arryn and Madison sang "Hey Ho".  They really sound great together.

The VERY best part of the Princess Showcase.....
...it meant the fair was OVER!!!  It was soooo much fun but whew it was exhausting!

A HUGE Thank You to Wendy Sandberg for always including the royalties and giving the girls an opportunity to learn so much and serve their county.
